A gift to South Rwenzori Diocese, continuing Paddy’s commitment to bringing care closer to his community.

A gift rooted in Isango

On 23 November 2024, the family donated the Isango medical centre to South Rwenzori Diocese, Church of Uganda. Paddy had built the facility to provide medical care for the rural community in his home area.

The handover continued a commitment described in his own March 1998 CV: using what he had to support the wellbeing of his community.

Family, church and community together

The occasion was officiated over by Bishop Nason Baluku, Hon. Dr. Crispus Kiyonga and Paddy’s wife, Mrs. Mary Kunihira Kabagambe.

Carrying the work forward

The donation placed the centre’s next chapter within its relationship with South Rwenzori Diocese. For the foundation and family, it was a practical act of remembrance rooted in Paddy’s belief in community service.
